Grilled Flank Steak

Talk about good eatin'!

We've been eating lots of flank steaks lately because of the rich flavor which comes from the meat as well as the lower costs in the butcher shop.  You should enjoy this easy to make steak.

  • 1 Flank Steak - about 2 pounds
  • 1 Tablespoons sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cane sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Olive Oil

Thoroughly combine all of the dry ingredients above in a non-reactive bowl.  Coat the steak on both sides with the olive oil.  Next, season the steak on both sides with the mixed ingredients and set aside for an hour or so in order that the seasonings flavor the meat.

Have a cool drink while you are getting your grill going for a medium/hot fire.  Place the steak over the heat and grill until medium or medium rare.

Slice thinly against the grain and serve with pineapples or your favorite barbecue sauce.
