Spice Island Sweet Potatoes

Gotta love something delicious and different

The softer, orange variety of sweet potato is often called a yam in most parts of North America while the real sweet potato is botanically very distinct from the yam.  Here we are using the whole, raw, sweet potato which you normally find in produce department.

   4 - Sweet Potatoes

  • Olive oil or butter
  • Knox's Jamaican Jerk dry rub spice blend
  • Brown Sugar

Peal and cut sweet potatoes into one inch slices.  Brush with oil or butter.  Mix equal parts Knox's Jamaican Jerk Dry Rub spice blend and sprinkle on both sides of sides of slices sweet potato.  Bake at 350° or grill until soft.

Try acorn and butternut squash!
